In 2015 Valley High School won the state champion for the C-STEM Robotics Competition hosted by University of California, Davis. They beat out all other schools in Orange County and Northern California in this live scoring synchronous competition, held through the state.  In this competition  students used programming skills to solve a real-life problem given to them that day within a two hour time frame. They used a version of Ch coding language, a lighter version of C++ developed by UC Davis.
