  • Mr. Lynch

    Spanish & French teacher

    About me:

I was born, raised, and educated in a Caribbean region of South America until age 10 or 11, age at which I moved to Southern California, where I have lived ever since.

I began my higher education at Golden West College and continued it at Cal State University Long Beach, where I got a Bachelor's degree in Spanish linguistics with a minor in French, and then a credential to teach Spanish. Years after university, I obtained a second credential by passing the CSET for French, which has put me in that tiny minority of U.S. educators who are credentialed to teach two foreign languages.

I look forward to meeting you (or your child) and to helping you (or your child) to broaden your (or your child's) cultural knowledge and linguistic abilities.

    Random facts:

    • I am biracial / ethnically mixed.
    • Before ultimately pursuing Spanish as a college major, I was studying Fine Arts and Graphic Design.
    • I enjoy using computers and technology, and I have been incorporating them extensively into my classroom instruction since 2016.
    • The "Back to the Future" trilogy continues to be my all-time favorite movies.
    • Favorite quotation: "Cuando se nace pobre, estudiar es el mayor acto de rebeldía contra el sistema. El saber rompe las cadenas de la esclavitud." ("When one is born poor, studying is the greatest act of rebellion against the system. Knowledge breaks the chains of slavery.") - Tomás Bulat
