  • Mr. Lynch

    Spanish & French teacher

    About me:

I was born, raised, and educated in a Caribbean region of South America until age 10, age at which I moved to Southern California, where I have lived ever since.

I began my higher education at Golden West College and continued it at Cal State University Long Beach. At CSULB, I got a Bachelor's degree in Spanish linguistics with a minor in French, and then a credential to teach Spanish. Years after university, I obtained a second credential by passing the CSET for French, which has put me in that tiny minority of U.S. educators who are credentialed to teach two foreign languages.

I look forward to meeting you (or your son/daughter) and to helping you (or him/her) to broaden your (or his/her) cultural knowledge and linguistic abilities.

    Random facts:

    • I was born of mixed heritage.
    • Before ultimately pursuing Spanish as a major and a teaching credential, I was studying Fine Arts and Graphic Design.
    • I love computers and technology in general, but Microsoft Excel in particular.
    • The "Back to the Future" trilogy continues to be my all-time favorite movies.
    • Favorite quote: "When one is born poor, studying is the greatest act of rebellion against the system. Knowledge breaks the chains of slavery." (Tomas Bulat)
