Welcome Students and Parents to Mr. Tapia’s Language Arts Class
-
Hello,
My name is Mr. Tapia and I look forward to working with your children this school year. Here's a little bit about me. I was born in Salinas California. When I was two years old, my parents moved to Santa Ana. I am a proud product of the Santa Ana Unified School District system. I attended Roosevelt and Sepulveda Elementary, Mc Fadden Intermediate, and graduated from Santa Ana High School (Class of 1996). After high school I enrolled at Santa Ana College. Three years later, I transferred to California State University Fullerton where I received my undergraduate degree in Liberal Studies. In the winter of 2018, I earned my teaching credential and masters degree in special education from National University.
My wife also teaches special education with the SAUSD. I have two sons, Julian and Jesse. Both my sons also attended and graduated from SAUSD schools. In my spare time I love to travel. I also like spending time with my two dogs, Kanelo and Machaka. When I'm not playing with my dogs or traveling, you can find me watching my favorite hockey team, the Anaheim Ducks. Some of my hobbies include: deep sea fishing, cooking, baking, and training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. After getting to know about me, I hope I get to know all of you this school year.
Go Spartans!
