Biography
I was born in Los Angeles (Pasadena) and lived there for 4 years. My parents are both from Argentina, so they decided to move back to their homeland. I lived there between the ages of 4-8 years old, learning to mainly speak Spanish. We moved back to America to stay for good when I was 8 years old, so I needed to learn English all over again. I grew up playing all kinds of sports: basketball, flag football, baseball, soccer and tackle football. I attended Fountain Valley High School and graduated in 1986. I lettered for three years in soccer and also played volleyball in high school. I went on to play soccer in college for 2 years and continued to play the sport I love in many competitive leagues for several years.
I attended Orange Coast College and received an Associates of Arts degree. I went on to attend Cal State Fullerton and received my degree in Physical Education and Health promotion. I also earned my Teaching Credential there. I went on to get my Masters from Azusa Pacific University in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
I have been teaching 8th grade PE in Santa Ana for 30 years. I started my career teaching for 4 years at Lathrop Intermediate. Then the next 22 at Villa Fundamental. I am proud to say that I am one of the few remaining teachers that helped open Villa in 1998. Along with teaching PE, I have coached many sports for our athletics/intramural program. Anywhere from boys basketball, boys soccer, flag football, girls soccer, baseball and track & field. I really enjoy teaching and coaching at the intermediate level. My time in Santa Ana has been valuable and rewarding during these 30 years.
