Dear Villa Fundamental Intermediate School Community,

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we embark on the exciting journey of the 2023-2024 school year. At Villa Fundamental Intermediate School, we believe in the power of commitment, and we are proud to be a Fundamental School where students, staff, and parents unite in the pursuit of excellence.

Our core values, which guide us in all that we do, are Pride, Respect, and Achievement. These values underpin our mission, which is to empower every student to become college and career ready through the development of academic, social, and emotional skills and abilities.

I am excited to share with you that Villa has received notable accolades, including being recognized as an AVID National Demonstration School and achieving PBIS Platinum School status. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire school community.

Our school offers a diverse range of elective courses, providing students with opportunities to explore their passions and interests. From computer science and robotics to speech and debate, yearbook, broadcast journalism, ethnic studies, art, music (band, orchestra, and choir), Leadership, and Peer Assisted Leadership, there's something for everyone.

We understand the importance of students connecting school, and we are proud to offer a variety of extracurricular activities, clubs, and our Engage 360 after-school program. Whether through athletics, clubs, or our enriching after-school offerings, getting involved truly makes a difference in a student's educational experience.

As we embark on the 2023-2024 school year, it's important to note that we are currently a split campus. Due to our AC and single-point-of-entry renovation, our 6th graders currently attend school at the Villa campus, 7th graders at the Círculos High School campus, 8th graders at the Century High School campus, and Mr. Cristobal's students at the McFadden Institute of Technology campus. While our students are spread across multiple campuses, it's vital to remember that we are one school, united by our shared commitment to excellence and the success of every student.

We eagerly anticipate the reopening of our entire campus once construction is complete, which will provide us with more opportunities to come together as one community. Until then, we encourage you to stay engaged, stay connected, and support one another in this exciting journey of learning and growth.

Thank you for being a part of the Villa Fundamental Intermediate School family. Together, we will make this school year one of achievement, growth, and memorable experiences.

    Warm regards,

    John Bennett

    Principal, Villa Fundamental Intermediate School
