Medical Core

Description:

• This course introduces students to diverse occupations in the medical/health field and to standards required of workers in the field. Medical Core includes instruction in the ethical and legal responsibilities of the healthcare worker, safety, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, body systems and mechanics, standard precautions and health and fitness. Students gain practical hands-on experience in Vital Signs, Emergency Medical Care, First Aid and CPR.
