Hospital Occupations (Internship)

Description:

• Students will review the essential knowledge and skills that they mastered in the foundation courses and then expand and focus these for application within the Hospital environment by completing an internship at Coastal Community Hospital.  Content topics include: Patient Care Skills, Safety and Emergency Procedures, Ethics, and specific skills for specialized Hospital Departments. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) card, physical examination, tuberculin test and other inoculations/vaccinations are required for placement at a hospital. Prerequisite: Medical Core/Sports Medicine/Biomedical Technology Courses.
