DRAMA (for seventh and eighth grade students)

The Drama Program at Mendez Fundamental has been established to help students explore the exciting world of theater and the performing arts.  Drama provides students with the core skills that they will need in the future.  They will learn how to think critically as they discover solutions for the inherit problems in creating a scene.  Communication is a skill that is sharpened and reinforced on a daily basis.  Student will have to work collaboratively on projects, group scenes and script creation.  Finally students will use their creativity to make their projects, scenes and scripts come alive.  Drama is challenging, fun, exciting and satisfying.  It helps students to become confident communicating to others and allows them to access their performance skills.
