It is my sincere pleasure and honor to be the principal at Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School. I would also like to welcome you to the 2024 - 2025 school year where we look to continue our goal of offering high quality instruction for all students. Mendez is a California Distinguished school with talented students, parents, and staff. As a STEAM school, we offer an expanded selection of electives such as Design and Modeling, Robotics, Computer Science, Esports, Rocketry, Game Programming, Art, Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced Band and Orchestra among others.
Our goal is to provide the most rigorous curriculum while offering support to all students. Our teachers promote research based strategies and critical thinking to provide lessons that are challenging and meaningful. In addition, they prepare our students for high school with an emphasis on college and career readiness.
As parents and guardians, your participation is vital to helping us continue the success of your child's learning experience. Helping your students understand that hard work, good study skills, and planning their future are important qualities to ensure future success. I encourage you to find ways to get involved at Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School as we strive to be Respectful, Responsible, and Ready.
