Greetings parents, students, local community,
A little background about myself: I was born in Anaheim and I've been an Orange County resident my entire life. After wrapping up my freshman year at UCSB, I transferred to CSUF and earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an Emphasis in Accounting. After working as a cost accountant and making significant progress towards a CPA license, I quit outright to pursue teaching when I realized that my true passion was to be in the classroom.
I headed back to CSUF to complete coursework towards earning a teaching credential in 2004 and soon after completed a Master's degree in Education with an Emphasis in Teaching Foundational Mathematics. I'm proud of the work I completed alongside many outstanding professors and faculty. Among my many achievements: I had my work published in an academic journal and was named an Edwin Carr Fellow.
I'm proud to represent Santiago as department chair and I look forward to the year ahead!
