To my dearest students, from the virtual beyond...

I miss you all more than anything in the world.

Please read through this ENTIRE message. Then, read through it one or two more times JUST TO BE CERTAIN.

You all know my tendency to say how little motherly instinct I think I possess... Only for you guys to have to sit through a VERY motherly lecture about whatever lolol

So you can likely only imagine how heartbroken, DEVASTATED, I am, to not only be restricted from seeing you all, but also from being able to TALK you all through the days ahead.

Please know that no matter where we go from here..... I am ALWAYS here for you, only a comment/message/email/phone call/virtual hangout away!

Let's take a brief pause from the emotional stuff and head right into the SCHOOL REQUIRED stuff, shall we?

YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IS YOUR HEALTH, YOUR FAMILY, and YOUR WELL-BEING.

Social media is your friend in these times. Stay alert, follow news/trends, ask questions, be savvy. [Follow me? ...... IG: her_royal_mathness ...... Twitter: foodie_mond0ggy]

Establish a daily routine. Set an alarm (even if it's late, haha). Set aside specific start/end times to devote to checking emails, doing school work online, etc. It's too easy to fall out of shape haha.

ADD TO YOUR CALENDAR: MATH CONTENT WILL BE ROLLED OUT EVERY MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY FOR CREDIT.

Shelter in place; take it seriously. Please. Check out Washington Post Mathematical Model Simulator for your first Real Math World assignment [coming next week]...

Check Aeries. Right now. Do it. Because.....

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, YOU WILL STILL RECEIVE A GRADE FOR THE SPRING 2020 SEMESTER.

As of March 23, 2020: your grades will be determined using the same categories in Aeries as before.

HOMEWORK will only come from the textbook, and will only be assigned once a week. This is to shift your focus on your PREVIOUS MISSING HW ASSIGNMENTS if you want. So how do you 'turn in' HW? Check out our Google Classroom for details!

CLASSWORK will be split into two equal categories:

(Math) will consist of the MAP Skills assignments you guys are already familiar with. These are CRUCIAL because they are tailor made specifically for YOU!!! Part of your assignments will include lessons/activities from Desmos, which means you need to create an account.

(Extracurricular) will consist of accessing your Sumdog account, random assignments from Khan Academy (I will post class codes to Google Classroom by Wed 3/25/20), participating in Zoom video conferencing, and interacting on Instagram Live. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE CLASS CALENDAR ON THIS WEBSITE FOR UPDATES!!!

QUIZZES will be given on Wednesdays through Quizizz website/application; please follow the directions to sign up via the Google Classroom (which has been completely updated).

TESTS will be given starting after the week of Spring Break :) Platform and method to be determined!

Please continue to check back here, as well as Google Classroom, for up to date information... please email or call me if you have questions!!! I respond to messages very quickly!

IT IS ALL ABOUT COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION!!!

Check Aeries. Yo. Seriously. Do it now. Do it again.

If you are currently getting a 92% or higher: you're an effing rockstar. Also, keep checking the Google Classroom and your emails for information!

If you are currently earning 82% to 91.9%keep on the lookout for additional credit opportunities. I will be posting videos, worksheets, etc. for you to work on!

If you are currently earning 72% to 81.9%: it is crucial that you keep up with stuff!!! Consider catching my live videos, group chats (I'm doing cooking and recipes!!!), etc.

If you are currently earning anything under 72%: you can still do it. YOU CAN. Send me a message or call/email me if you need to. We will work out a plan for the rest of the semester...

GOOGLE HANGOUT / ZOOM. Let's video conference! My Zoom ID is: 338-996-8290

WANT TO CALL/LEAVE ME A VOICEMAIL??? Here it is... my Google Voice number: (949) 284-6498. Contact me at, literally, ANY TIME. Leave me YOUR number so I can call you!!!

PLEASE CHECK OUT ALL THE OTHER PAGES HERE ON MY SCHOOL WEBSITE!!! Schedule/Class Info, Calendar, and Fun Stuff have all been and will continue to be updated!!! I swear!

A FINAL NOTE (clearly will be updated as we move forward haha!)

I hope you all understand that-- not only are you our number one priority during this period of uncertainty-- but, as you all know, you are the only family I have left in the area. Please know that not only do I plan to introduce more opportunities for interaction (I'M COOKING!!! Please add me on IG for more details if you want any of the food I make...... I AM SERIOUS!!!), but also to be available via video conferencing at specific days/times. Check back here and Google Classroom for updates. Meaning, not only do I miss you all tremendously, but I want to do everything in my power to make sure you are all okay. And well fed lol. Hope to see you guys sometime soon online...... from the bottom of my heart, I love you all very much and wish you all good health, security/safety, and the endless strength I know you all have to be able to make it moving forward. You are all brilliant, kind, strong, and resilient....... and we absolutely WILL encounter one another sooner rather than later, I promise you!!! xoxoxo D.
