A Little Bit About Me 

I was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. I moved to Los Angeles, California at age fifteen. I am a proud graduate of Venice High School. Here I had the fortune of meeting amazing teachers that inspired me to choose a career in education. At UCLA I earned a B.A in Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies. I received my Masters in Bilingual Education from Loyola Marymount University. I have been teaching at Saddleback HS since 2015 and have had great experience being part of Roadrunner Nation. In my free time I enjoy reading and dancing traditional dances from Oaxaca. An interesting fact about me is that I speak Zapoteco, one of many indigenous languages in Mexico. I am currently the advisor for Folklorico Club.
