About Me:

Bilingual/biliterate Special Education Specialist with over 22 years teaching experience at SAUSD, Intermediate School level.

Attended all SAUSD schools, beginning in 3rd grade at age 7 through High School.

Graduated from Cal State University, Fullerton with a B.A. in Criminal Justice, B.A. in Political Science, and M.A. in Political Science.

Obtained my Special Education Specialist Teaching Credential and Level II Clear Credential from National University.

Possess an Autism Authorization from SAUSD.

Was part of the Special Education Leadership Team at SAUSD. 

 

Fun Facts:

I have 3 daughters and 3 sisters.  My sisters and I all work for SAUSD and collectively have provided over 125 years of service to our community.

I have 2 family members who became teachers and my oldest daughter is also pursuing a career in education.

I was born in Colima, Mexico and was raised in Tecate, Baja California until age 6. I immigrated to the U.S. with my family and learned to speak English

at age 7. Some of my favorite hobbies and pastimes include singing, working out, drawing, and cooking.
