Work-Based Learning demonstrates a High-Quality CTE Program.
CTE teachers enter Work-Based Learning (WBL) "Experiences and Outcomes" in each student's Aeries account.
This data helps students, families, teachers, and district staff track this essential component of Career Technical Education.
There are two types of WBL data that CTE collects for students:
Experiences

Leadership - Conferences, camps, membership, organizations, etc.

Field Trips - Worksites and/or project-based learning.

Guest Speakers - Industry and Experts in the Field speakers

Conferences or Job Fairs

Competitions - All Pathways have opportunities for students to compete

Mentorship - Experts in the field and industry experts

Job Shadow - Various job sites related to a CTE Pathway

Showcase events - Events for students to showcase their CTE Pathway skills and expertise
Outcomes

CTE Certificates - Students receive a CTE Pathway Course Certificate after earning a C or higher in a CTE course.

Industry Certification - Students can study to earn a certificate in various industries in a variety of CTE pathways.

Food Handlers Certificate - Students can study to earn a Food Handlers Certificate in a variety of CTE pathways.

State Program Certificates - Students can study to earn state program certificates in a variety of CTE pathways.

Federal Program Certificates - Students can study to earn federal program certificates in a variety of CTE pathways.

State Licenses - Students can study to earn a state license in a variety of CTE pathways.
