My name is Gustavo Urrea.  I have taught Spanish at Cesar Chavez High School since 2009.  I have also taught at Santa Ana High School and at Century High School prior coming to Chavez.  I graduated from Manual Arts High School in 1983.  I was accepted and granted a full scholarship to the University of Redlands.  I transferred from Redlands to Cal State Fullerton while working at Santa Ana High School as a Computer Lab Tech.   I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish in 2004 and earned my Teaching Credential in 2005.  In 2007 I earned my Masters in Spanish Literature.  All from California State University, Fullerton.

It is an honor to be part of the Chavez therapeutic family.  Education is of keen importance and we are here to always support your sons and daughters psychologically and academically as they earn a High School Diploma.   Thank you for allowing me to be part of this endeavor.  I teach Spanish and Mexican American History with passion, hoping that my classes will be useful to each of my students in their college or vocational careers.
