Emergency Procedures
EMERGENCY CONTACTS
At the beginning of each school year, parents/guardians must complete (or update) the emergency contacts in case there is an emergency in which a parent or a designated party needs to be reached. For the well-being of students, it is important that at least two other emergency contacts (other than parents) are listed, whom we can contact immediately in an emergency situation. If any of the information on the contacts changes during the year, the office needs to be notified immediately so the student's Aeries can be updated.
DISASTER, EARTHQUAKE, FIRE PREPAREDNESS
Emergency drills are held at school each month. In the event of a disaster, the emergency preparedness plan of SAUSD will be put into effect.
PARENT INSTRUCTIONS IN CASE OF A DISASTERIn the event of a disaster, students will be held at school pending release to authorized persons whose names appear on the Emergency Card. Adults will be required to sign out students and supply the following minimum information:
1. Student’s name.
2. Valid photo identification.
3. Relationship to student.
4. Phone number and address of place to be taken other than home.
The staff will care for each child until a parent or an authorized adult is able to pick him/her up at school.
