Principles of Behavior
Thomas Jefferson Elementary is committed to, and believes that, a safe and secure environment is essential so that all students can learn. Student behavior impacts student achievement. Therefore, we are committed, as a school, to model respect for all people and provide instructional opportunities to assist children as they learn to live in a diverse society.
Jefferson's students will be taught to use the letters from “ROAR” to:
Be Respectful Be Optimistic Be Attentive Be ResponsibleBe a JEFFERSON
Jefferson is a P.B.I.S. (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school site, and has developed area rules to promote respect, optimism, attentiveness, and responsibility.
