    Principles of Behavior                                   

     

    Thomas Jefferson Elementary is committed to, and believes that, a safe and secure environment is essential so that all students can learn. Student behavior impacts student achievement. Therefore, we are committed, as a school, to model respect for all people and provide instructional opportunities to assist children as they learn to live in a diverse society. 

    Jefferson students will be taught to use the letters from “ROAR” to: 

     

    Be
    Respectful  
    Be
    Obedient  
    Be Attentive   Be Responsible

    Jefferson is a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school site, and has developed area rules to promote respect, obedience, attentiveness, and responsibility. The following chart was developed by the Jefferson staff:
