Happy National Counselor Week to our amazing Santiago Counseling Team: Tara Delgado, K-8 School Counselor, Cecilia Sanchez Morales, School Psychologist, Elivet Brito, Western Youth Services Counselor, Wendy Llamas, School-Based Mental Health Services, Monica Sedberry, Mental Health Therapist, Lilly Ramirez, Counselor Intern, and Janet Montes, Counselor Intern.
SAUSD School Choice Fair 2019 Well AttendedSantiago School participated in the SAUSD School Choice Fair at the MainPlace Mall (Santa Ana) on Saturday, Jan 26th. Representatives from more than 50 SAUSD schools and district departments showcased their campuses, programs, and services to the public. At the event, our principal, teachers and parent volunteers showcased Santiago school. Our Drama Booster club represented our VAPA program, and the Santiago pep squad also made an appearance to cheer and dance, promoting our school.Disney's The Jungle Book Kids was Spectacular!Mrs. Sarah Seibert would like to thank everyone who came out to support the Disney Musical in Schools' cast of "THE JUNGLE BOOK" last weekend. We had a record-breaking sales with 1,200 tickets sold over 4 performances.

Speech & Debate – SAUSD Mardi Gras Tournament 2019The Santiago Speech & Debate team recently took part in the 2019 Mardi Gras tournament, and we congratulate Tony Pantone for winning 3rd place in the Congressional debate, and the rest of the team for their great efforts.
Perfect Attendance for the First Trimester
Congratulations to all 17 second graders in Mrs. Andersen's class for being awarded a Perfect Attendance for the First-Trimester. Keep up the hard work scholars!Museum of Tolerance Trip for 7th GradersMs. Monette’s 7th-grade class recently visited the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles with the intent of furthering their knowledge of the Holocaust. For this field trip, the students were not able to interact with any Holocaust survivors, but it was still impactful. For some students, it was a life-changing experience.Amazing Musicians at the Santiago Winter ConcertCongratulations to our Santiago 4th through 8th grades combined band and orchestra for a great performance at the Winter concert 2019 which was recently held in a jungle setting stage at Santiago. It’s exciting to see how our Santiago music education program is growing, and more students are participating.
