Mission Statement
The Willard Intermediate library seeks to provide equitable access to information for our students, teachers, staff, and parents, so that this may foster student agency in growing their literacy skills, critical thinking skills, and love for lifelong learning.
Borrowing Policies
- Students may check out up to 5 library books at a time. This may be adjusted per Ms. Abel's discretion
- Books may be borrowed for 3 weeks.
- Please see Ms. Abel for more time, if needed.
- Overdue reminders are sent to a student's Gmail account
Holds
Need a book that someone else has checked out? Ask Ms. Abel to place a "hold" for you. When returned, you will be next in line to check it out.
Limit 3 holds at a time
Lost or Damaged Books
Students are responsible for reporting lost or damaged books.
Lost books must be paid for by the end of the school year.
Fines for damaged books will be assessed according to the degree of damage.
Payment adjustments or payment plans can be established, if needed.
Fines will carry over to the following school year.
Fines
Books borrowed for 21+ days will be marked "Lost". The full cost of the item will be fined to the students' account until the item is returned. Once returned, the fine will be removed from the students' account.
