• Welcome to AVID 8!Sierra Prep’s AVID Class is a yearlong elective course with three goals: 1) to prepare students for college and university entrance requirements, 2) to ready students for the rigors of college and university work, and 3) to develop active citizens in today’s society. This course challenges students through advanced level reading and writing assignments, as well as debate-like seminars. It also exposes them to the college/ university system, especially as students interact with their group mates and college tutors.
