Welcome from Ms. Scott

Hello, families!
My name is Ms. Scott, and I’m excited to begin my 26th year of teaching with the Santa Ana Unified School District. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades, and I’ve been part of the Manuel Esqueda team since the school opened in 2005. Before coming to Manuel Esqueda, I taught at Franklin Elementary.

I earned my undergraduate degree and teaching credential from Concordia University in Irvine, and I completed my Master’s in Reading at California State University, Fullerton.

Fifth grade is a year of growth, both academically and personally. It’s a time when students take on more responsibility, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and begin to see the world from new perspectives. I am looking forward to all the exciting things we will learn and accomplish together in the 2024/2025 school year!

I’m thrilled to be your child’s teacher and can’t wait to work closely with you to support their success.

¡Hola, familias!
Mi nombre es Sra. Scott y estoy emocionada de comenzar mi 26º año de enseñanza en el Distrito Escolar Unificado de Santa Ana. A lo largo de los años, he tenido el placer de enseñar en los grados de Kinder, 1º, 2º y 5º, y he sido parte del equipo de Manuel Esqueda desde que la escuela abrió en 2005. Antes de llegar a Manuel Esqueda, enseñé en la escuela Franklin Elementary.

Obtuve mi título de licenciatura y mi credencial docente en la Universidad Concordia de Irvine, y completé mi maestría en lectura en la Universidad Estatal de California, Fullerton.

El quinto grado es un año de gran crecimiento, tanto académico como personal. Es un momento en el que los estudiantes asumen más responsabilidades, fortalecen sus habilidades de pensamiento crítico y comienzan a ver el mundo desde nuevas perspectivas. ¡Estoy deseando aprender y lograr muchas cosas emocionantes juntos en el año escolar 2024/2025!

Estoy encantada de ser la maestra de su hijo(a) y espero trabajar de cerca con ustedes para apoyar su éxito.
