Math has always been a passion of mine. Although, it does not come easy to everyone, I believe it contains important skills to prepare our students to be citizens equipped for the 21st Century. Mathematics is like a set of tools. You don't have to memorize formulas and algorithms, but you should be able to understand how they work and in what situations to use them. For instance, you won't find the perimeter of a triangle by multiplying the sides and you just don't hammer a nail with a screw driver.
Every student has mathematical ability and room to grow. I want every student to see the joy of mathematics as they expand their knowledge and skills to their fullest potential.
