LEARN MORE ABOUT SPRING 2023 CALIFORNIA ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT PERFORMANCE AND PROGRESS (CAASPP) AND SUMMATIVE ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY ASSESSMENTS FOR CALIFORNIA (ELPAC)
In SAUSD, there are many ways that we measure a child’s learning. Teachers use report card grades, classroom work, teacher observations, and end-of-year statewide test results to get a complete picture of students’ learning. For the 2023 spring administration of the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the Summative English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC), students will continue to take their assigned tests in-person. See the letters below for important information regarding these assessments.

Chromebook Information
We are encouraging all students in grades 4-8 to take advantage of the 1-to-1 Chromebooks provided in the classrooms. In order for the students to take the chromebooks home, they need to sign up for an insurance policy. We will be working with the PTA to collect the permission slips and insurance information. The cost for insurance coverage for the entire year is $21. Please drop by the office to ask about purchasing Chromebook insurance.
