News From ParentSquare
Mrs. Rebecca Churnside, School Principal
Welcome to Heroes Elementary School, Home of the Huskies!
First Day of School is Monday, August 16, 2021
All grades will begin at 8:00 am
On behalf of the Heroes staff, I welcome you to the 2021-2022 school year! The countdown is on and we hope you are ready. We can’t wait to have our students back on campus, in-person!
Communication between Heroes and your family is extremely important. Do you have the Parent Square App on your phone? Are you registered for Heroes Elementary School’s notices? If not, we can help. Call our front office @ 714.568.9600.
This year may look a little different, but be assured that we are taking all safety precautions related to wearing masks while indoors, and keeping appropriate spacing between students both in the classroom and when outdoors. At this time, please be reminded to practice good healthy habits at home to combat the spread of coronavirus:
- stay at home when possible
- wear a face covering in public
- maintain at least 3 feet of social distancing
- wash your hands often for 20 seconds
- avoid touching your face
The best way we can limit the transmission of COVID-19 is for people 12 years and older to get the vaccine and to continue to follow safety protocols. Our youngest children remain the last group that cannot get a vaccination and the best way to protect our children is for everyone else who is eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 vaccines reduce the risk of people getting and spreading COVID-19 and it is the best way to protect our children!
We have an exciting year ahead of us and we look forward to a FANTASTIC year! School will begin at 8:00 a.m. every day. Please make sure your child is at school on time and has already eaten breakfast at home, or arrives by 7:30 am to eat before school begins. As always, students should come to school wearing their school uniform.
Thank you, parents and community, for coming together to support our children!
