Hello Fremont Parents and Community,
It is with great pleasure and honor that I serve as the your new principal at Fremont Elementary, Home of the Golden Bears.
I was born in Jalisco, Mexico and raised in Santa Ana since the age of three. I am a product of the Santa Ana Unified School District, attending Lowell, Willard, and Santa Ana High School. After graduating in 1991, I attended Santa Ana College (Rancho Santiago College) and then transferred to California State University, Long Beach, and attended graduate school at Chapman University. I worked part-time in the Student Activity Office at SAHS while attending college and then began to substitute teach for the district. I began my teaching career in 1998 teaching Physical Educatin at Lathrop Intermediate and the following made a decision that would change my career, I earned my multiple subject credential and got the opportunity to teach Kindergarten at Franklin Elementary. I have worked as a teacher and coordinator at Madison Elementary, District Office, and Martin Elementary, and began my management career as an Assistant Principal with a split assignment at Heninger and King Elementary Schools. I also worked at Lowell Elementary and Willard Intermediate as an Assistant Principal, and served as the Principal at Hoover Elementary for five years.
After a challengin year for all of us, we cannot wait to welcome back our students to in-person instruction, and have our students back on campus walking the hallways and running around on the playground. Our students will need all of us to work together to make sure that they transition back to school feeling safe and assure them that they will be okay.
