Welcome to 4th/5th at Kennedy Elementary. I am pleased to be your child’s teacher.  

In second grade, we will focus on reading foundational skills, reading comprehension, writing, math skills, especially addition and subtraction, and the development of mathematical thinking. To help your child be successful, I suggest that you check his or her homework each evening and, importantly, make it a daily practice to read to and with your child.
