Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is an evidence-based three-tiered framework utilized to improve social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students, including students with disabilities and students from underrepresented groups.
The broad purpose of PBIS is to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of schools. At Jefferson, all staff work together to support students using PBIS best practices. These include school-wide expectations that are shared with students and their families. Jefferson's students know that they are expected to:
Be Respectful
Be Optimistic
Be Attentive
Be Responsible
