Hi Everyone!

My name is David Sandoval and I am the Library Media Tech at Heroes Elementary. I was born and raised in Santa Ana in which I attended Lowell Elementary through third grade. I later moved to Fullerton where I continued my education through High school. I received my Bachelor of Science in Child and Adolescent Development from California State Fullerton and obtained my Master in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University.  I began working at Heroes Elementary in 2012 and I also work at the Santa Ana Public Library in which I have been employed there since 2001.

I always knew I wanted to work with children but wasn’t sure which route I wanted to go down. I first thought of becoming an elementary school teacher but my career path soon changed after I started working in the children’s department at the Santa Ana Public Library. That is where I discovered my true passion and calling, being a Children’s Librarian. Library’s and librarians had such a positive impact on me during my childhood and I want to be able to provide the same positive impact to children.

On my free time I enjoy reading books, watching movies, hiking and fishing.
