Welcome! I'm Mr. Lofdahl, and I’m excited to be teaching 7th-grade Math and Exploratory at Advanced Learning Academy this year. With a passion for both mathematics and innovative teaching, I aim to make learning an engaging and rewarding experience for all my students.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Cal State University Monterey Bay and hold a Single Subject Teaching Credential from National University, where I am currently pursuing a Master's in Education. My journey in education began at a Charter school in Los Angeles, and I've had the privilege of teaching at Advanced Learning Academy for the past three years.
I believe that every student has the potential to succeed, especially when they are inspired to ask questions and explore new ideas. My teaching philosophy is grounded in creating a classroom environment that is both challenging and supportive, where students feel empowered to take risks and grow.
Beyond teaching math, I am particularly passionate about integrating technology into the classroom to enhance learning and prepare students for the future. When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy golfing, rock climbing, and spending time with my family and our beloved animals.
I’m eager to embark on another exciting year of learning and discovery with my students. Let’s make this year one of growth, curiosity, and success!
