Computer Science for Innovators and Makers
This introduction to computer science course begins after an introductory lessons with Ozobots and Scratch projects. The Project Lead The Way curriculum then introduces students to a microcontroller called a Micro:bit which uses block coding at Makecode.org. After this virtual learning, students learn how to use and create various inputs and outputs that allow the Micro:bit to interact with the physical world. Finally, students are encouraged to become "Makers adn Innovators," creating their own projects out of the things they have learned, limited only by their imaginations.

App Creators
This class teaches students to create their own Android apps, starting with simple games, surveys, and informational apps. By the end of the course, students are encouraged to use their newfound skills to develop apps of their own creation and design.

Design & Modeling
Students discover the design process and develop an understanding of the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. They are then challenged and empowered to use and apply what they’ve learned throughout the unit to design a therapeutic toy for a child who has cerebral palsy.

Students learn about the history and impact of automation and robotics as they explore mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Using the VEX Robotics® platform, students apply what they know to design and program traffic lights, robotic arms, and more.
