Mrs. Lecuna

My name is Debra Lecuna, and I teach 4th Grade at Thorpe. I've been with SAUSD for 13-years and have loved every minute of it. I have lived most of my life in Orange County but also lived and attended school in Chile. Si! Hablo Español. My journey to becoming a teacher has been a long one. I have worked in broadcasting, corporate business, and adult education. My heart, however, is truly in educating children. It has been, by far the most rewarding profession I have pursued, and I'm so happy to be a part of the Thorpe family! 

I have a B.A. in Communications from Cal State Fullerton and a Master in Business Administration from the University of La Verne. I've been married for 28-years and have two amazing sons, Brandon and Justin. I also have a cute dog named Paz who sometimes sends special messages to my students.
