Thorpe scholars will be capable of setting personal goals and achieving postsecondary endeavors. Upon graduation, our students will have a growth mindset to overcome individual barriers, be empathetic citizens, and gain the foundation to be critical thinkers in the 21st century global market.
Mission Statement:
The school counseling program at Thorpe Fundamental Elementary is designed to be a comprehensive data-driven curriculum that will nurture the well-being of the whole student. The multi-tiered, multi-domain system will help students achieve social-emotional competencies, academic success, and align students' interests to future college/career goals. Through collaboration with all stakeholders, school counselors are advocates who ensure that all students are given equitable access to resources and feel inspired to make a positive impact on their community. The school counselor will work to close the learning gaps by providing core counseling instruction, individualized planning, and small group lessons to help students reach their full potential.
