About Mr. Miller
My Name is Scott Miller and I am happy to be a 5th grade teacher at Walker Elementary. I am one of the original teachers on staff who opened the school in 1993. I started teaching in 1989. Before teaching 5th Grade, I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 7th Grades. Prior to teaching, I worked at Disneyland as a Attraction Host on Star Tours, Submarines and CircleVision.

I went to college at Chapman University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. I have two Master of Arts degrees; one in School Administration and one in Curriculum & Instruction.
When Walker first opened, the students were asked to help select the school mascot. After a long contest, the students chose the WINDJAMMER to represent our school. I was very honored to have been selected to create the logo; the logo is painted on the wall in our school office.
I also volunteer at Santa Ana Educators Association, the California Teachers Association and National Education Association. I am also very honored to be a California and National teacher trainer.
In my free time, I love to travel and meet new people. I have been to Europe over eight times, Australia ten times, South America and all over the United States. I also enjoy spending time with my family, friends and most of all my cat, Preston. I've had Preston since he was only 10 days old!
I hope to get to know you throughout the year!
