Mrs. Savelsberg has been working with students in Santa Ana since 2006 when she was placed at Willard intermediate as a volunteer for the YMCA afterschool program. She continued her work in education as a substitute teacher as Ms. Espinoza in SAUSD and Orange USD, then began pursuing her Master's in Education shortly after. She has been at ALA since 2019 where she enjoys teaching 7th and 8th grade English Language Arts, Leadership, Journalism, Yearbook, and Speech & Debate. In 2020, Mrs. Savelsberg and her husband welcomed their first child, Victoria Grace, to their family. She is excited to share pictures of both Victoria and Pepper, her 4 year old Corgi, with all her students throughout the school year as well as sharing ideas about the novels and short stories that will be read in ELA.
