Greetings All Stars,
Summer has come…what does that mean? It is an opportunity for our community to reset. We have had a wild and crazy ride since March 13th. However, the amount of learning that we, the adults have done, is off the charts. It really has felt like we were the students. Our promise to you is that we will keep working and learning this summer. However, when we do return in August….we will work to have all students engaged. That means we will need full parent support in educating our students. Our parents support and assistance is vital! Thank you in advance for your support and communication.
Please know that we will continue to provide school lunches for our community. We will continue to work to develop the best education program that fit the needs of our Heninger community. Please check our website during the summer. We will update it as we create our schedules, new opportunities for learning, and what requirements could be in place when students return to our campus.
I would like to take the opportunity to let our community we are here to support them. Our teachers have done so much professional development on their own. Our leadership team is working to provide them the best tools to provide learning to our students. We are also working on making sure that whatever our program is in the fall, ALL of our families will have access to what we are providing them.
The following we know for sure: We will have summer school (please email me @ William.firstname.lastname@example.org you are interested) for many students. Our Engage 360 staff will be providing opportunities for our students during summer also (please email Delia.Lucero@sausd.us).
Finally, remember that you are part of Heninger K-8…#heningerpride. WE WILL RISE TO THE CHALLENGE….just like we always have.
Go ALL STARS!William Skelly, Principal
