    Greetings All Stars,
What a wonderful year!  The end of the year was filled with happiness (our 8th graders begin a new chapter), sadness (Mrs. Maridia Gonzalez/an incredible 1st grade teacher retired), and optimism!  We can be proud of the amount of art we have added to our school experience...it has truly become the soul of our school.  We now have ballet folklorico, mariachi, all 1st -5th graders playing the violin, band, orchestra, an award-winning choir, and an exceptional film pathway.  This could not happen without talented staff members and students that are committed to improvement.  I was humbled by amount of effort that I witnessed as our students gave 100% effort on the numerous assessments we completed at the end of the year.  Finally, we had many high school seniors visit in May...students are attending UC Berkley, UCLA, UCI, Fullerton, Long Beach, Santa Ana College, etc...it was wonderful to hear about what they have been and where they are going.  Mrs. Martinez, Ms. Castillo, and I feel so fortunate to be part of the Heninger community!  The first day of school for the 2018-19 will be on Monday, August 13th.  Please visit the Santa Ana Public Library often!
    Go All Stars!

  • May is Here!

Posted by William Skelly on 5/7/2015 12:00:00 PM
May is here!  During this month we will be celebrating our Teacher of the Year, Mr. Cifuentes, our Classified Employee of the Year, Ms. Elida Caceres (our computer teacher), and our Parent of the Year, Sra. Cristina Garcia.  We want to take the time and reflect on the hard work our teachers and support providers do each and every day.  It is easy to take for granted the work they do, but if you begin to add the days, the weeks, and the months that they are here putting in time, the results are impressive.  I love being at a school where the students are cared for and the staff is always looking for ways to assist our students in becoming successful citizens.
Heninger All-Stars….let's finish this year with as much energy as we started with.
