Heninger Elementary School first opened its doors in July 1, 1992. Since opening, our goals have been to provide an outstanding general education program and to give all students opportunities reach their full potential. In 1997 and again in 2010, Heninger was designated a California Distinguished School. The mission of Heninger School is to empower all students to become productive and responsible citizens through the accomplishment of Heninger's schoolwide vision: It is the vision of Heninger Elementary School that all students will be given every opportunity to maximize their intellectual and leadership potential within a setting that shows compassion, optimism, and nurtures individual creative spirit. All students are expected to demonstrate consideration for others, maintain regular attendance, respect and celebrate diversity, strengthen their self-esteem and self-confidence as well as their ability to as a team. Today, we serve over 1,100 students from Pre-K to 8th grade students.  We offer music, film, orchestra, mariachi, ballet folklorico, Playworks, and a variety of of sports programs. Our goal is to provide students with a true well-rounded education.  We are honored to serve the Heninger community.
