I am delighted to introduce myself as the new principal of Franklin Elementary School. Many of you may already know me from my time as the assistant principal here, and I am thrilled to step into this new role.

My journey with the SAUSD community began 26 years ago as an instructional assistant at Lathrop Intermediate School, where I first fell in love with the world of education. From there, I had the privilege of teaching as a GATE and Dual Immersion Teacher at both Washington and Jefferson Elementary Schools. My experiences continued to grow as I took on the role of Teacher on Special Assignment at Jefferson, which allowed me to deepen my understanding of our district’s needs and goals. After that, I was given the opportunity to serve the Franklin Community in the assistant principal role, and later became the interim principal at Jefferson Elementary School.

Beyond my professional life, I am a proud mother of four wonderful children, all of whom have had the opportunity to benefit from SAUSD’s exceptional educational programs. My family and I are happily settled here, and we cherish the strong connections we’ve built within this community.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling and immersing myself in the cultures and education systems of other countries. These experiences have enriched my perspective and reinforced my commitment to providing the best possible education for our students.

I am eager to continue working with all of you to make Franklin Elementary a place where every child can thrive. Thank you for the warm welcome, and I look forward to an exciting and successful school year together!

Me complace mucho presentarme como la nueva directora de la Escuela Primaria Franklin. Muchos de ustedes ya me conocen de mi tiempo como subdirectora aquí, y estoy encantada de asumir este nuevo rol.

Mi trayectoria con la comunidad de SAUSD comenzó como asistente educativa en la Escuela Intermedia Lathrop, donde me enamoré del mundo de la educación. Desde allí, tuve el privilegio de enseñar como profesora de GATE y de Inmersión Dual en las Escuelas Primarias Washington y Jefferson. Mis experiencias continuaron creciendo cuando asumí el rol de Maestra en Asignación Especial en Jefferson, lo que me permitió profundizar mi comprensión de las necesidades y objetivos de nuestro distrito.

Más allá de mi vida profesional, soy una madre orgullosa de cuatro maravillosos hijos, quienes han tenido la oportunidad de beneficiarse de los excepcionales programas educativos de SAUSD. Mi familia y yo estamos felices de estar aquí y valoramos las sólidas conexiones que hemos construido dentro de esta comunidad.

En mi tiempo libre, disfruto viajar e inmersarme en las culturas y sistemas educativos de otros países. Estas experiencias han enriquecido mi perspectiva y reforzado mi compromiso de proporcionar la mejor educación posible para nuestros estudiantes.

Estoy ansiosa por continuar trabajando con todos ustedes para hacer de la Escuela Primaria Franklin un lugar donde cada niño pueda prosperar. Gracias por la cálida bienvenida, ¡y espero con entusiasmo un año escolar emocionante y exitoso juntos!
