Meet Sara and Chase

These amazing Poodles are reading assistance dogs for Monroe Elementary. They work individually with students to assist them with reading and comprehension. Students develop a relationship with their therapy dog that allow them to read books without judgement or fear.

Sara and Chase have an extensive training and are adapted to work with children. They are active members of the Animal Health Foundation and are registered with Pet Partners. 

They come to Monroe 4 days per week and "listen while students read to them" Sara and Chase are managed and trained by a former Monroe teacher Terri Kato.
