Vision Statement

 At Garfield Elementary, the School Counseling Program will empower all students to become well-rounded, lifelong learners who will thrive in their academics and gain meaningful social-emotional skills to apply in their academic careers and in their community. The School Counseling Program will collaborate with teachers, administrators, school staff, parents, and community partners to ensure that each student has the opportunity to develop a growth mindset while being safe, respectful, and responsible.

Mission Statement

The mission of the School Counseling Program at Garfield Elementary is to ensure that all students have access to a data driven, preventive and comprehensive school counseling program to address and meet their academic, social-emotional and college/career needs. The School Counseling Program is committed to support, engage, and challenge all students to achieve educational success and personal growth through equitable access to a safe and welcoming learning environment.
