Dear Garfield Families,
Dear Garfield Families,
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. As we embark on the new school year, the knowledgeable and devoted Garfield staff and teachers are more determined than ever to make this year a success! Thank you to all of our families for your continued patience as we all navigate through what the upcoming year holds for us. Please know that we have taken every safety precaution to keep students safe. Masks are now optional, but highly recommended.
The Garfield teachers are working tirelessly to create engaging and rigorous learning environments that are welcoming to all our students. They are so excited to see their new students and experience a great year together back in person. Understanding that success comes from working as a team. Being actively involved in your child’s education is essential in developing a strong partnership for each student’s success. Please be sure you take time every day to connect with your child. Talk to your child about what they are doing in school, have your child read to you, provide a quiet place to do homework, and help your child stay organized.
Communication between home and school is valued and extremely important in this environment. Please make sure you are regularly checking Parent Square and make sure to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to stay connected.
At Garfield, we understand that every child is unique and it is our mission to meet each student’s needs and prepare them to be productive citizens of this world, both academically and emotionally. Garfield has an open-door policy, so please contact your child’s teacher or myself at any time. We are all here to support you and your child in the pursuit of excellence. Compassion and care are more important than ever! Garfield Gators will be safe, respectful, and responsible every day! #GarfieldStrong #GarfieldProud #WeAreSausd
Together We Go Far,
