I wanted to reach out to you during this most challenging time. Last week was our first week shifting our students from being at school to home, completing our 1st of 4 weeks. The decision to have students stay at home was done to help keep students and families safe, and to help ensure social distancing.
Our teachers are doing numerous things to help continue to engage students. Teachers will continue to reach out to you are doing a variety of things, and this will be dependent on the grade level. Teachers could reach out to you via being class DOJO, Google Classroom, or emails to help share ideas for students at home as well as possible daily schedule ideas, that include time for such things as physical activity and reading. These are merely suggestions to help create some routines away from the school site. While at home, students will still have access to myON, LEXIA, ST Math and other programs that students are familiar with and used in school.
In addition, SAUSD packets were provided both in-person and online to help with enrichment activities that can be done at home. We
To help support families, SAUSD has 13 sites that provide both breakfast and lunch for students between the hours of 8-11 a.m. The days in which this occurs is evolving, so please look at the SAUSD website for dates in which you can visit these 13 sites. At this time the days are Monday and Wednesday.
