Mrs. Marin started teaching on an Emergency Credential in 1996. Prior to that, she was a Social Worker for the Department of Children and Family Services for 2 years. She has her Masters Degree in social work.  She taught at Roosevelt and Monte Vista Elementary Schools, teaching 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.  She moved to the district office as a Curriculum Specialist for Reading First and MTSS. She was there providing teacher and staff training for 8 years and really missed working at a site!

She became Assistant Principal of McFadden Intermediate School and was there for 4 years.  She then moved on to become Principal of Adams Elementary School and this was her 9th year there. Mrs. Marin was named Principal of the Year for Orange County last year through her involvement with ACSA Region 17.  She was recognized for her inspirational leadership and significant contributions towards meeting the diverse needs of our students and communities in Santa Ana.

When Mrs. Solomon moved to our district office to serve as Director of Family and Community Engagement, Mrs. Marin decided to move to Madison.  She felt that she needed a change and needed to grow and stretch herself as a leader. She wanted to become part of a bigger school with lots of programs and opportunities to contribute and be of service. Therefore, Madison Elementary is proud to call her our new principal!
