Eric Wall Memorial Toy Drive
About the Eric Wall Toy Drive
Thanks to the Eric Wall Toy Drive Foundation, each student enrolled at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School received a special toy for the holiday season for 19 consecutive school years. This special gift brought joy to the students and their families during the special holiday time each one of those years. For many of our boys and girls, this gift most probably was the only one they received during the winter holidays. Our last drive was done before the 2020 pandemic. We are grateful for being chosen by Ms. Tony for all those years. Thank you for always Ms. Tony! For those 19 years, Ms. Toni Raykovich, her family, friends - and the law firm of Rose, Klein & Marias - had been selecting special toys for each student at Wilson Elementary. Ms. Raykovich founded the toy drive after her son, Eric, passed away from cancer. She recalled that throughout Eric's battle and treatments, the only thing that comforted him was his toys. To keep Eric's memory alive, Ms. Raykovich began collecting toys for less fortunate children. Ms. Raykovich - or Ms. Toni - as the students call her, selected Wilson Elementary when she became aware of the incredible need that the school's families experience. Each December, Ms. Toni, her friends and family - and the law firm - turned Wilson Elementary into a holiday wonderland, with an astonishing assortment of toys, and an opportunity for each student to take a picture with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Once again, we are grateful for those years of so much generosity and holiday magic. Thank you Ms. Tony!
