    REACH Academy Mission Statement

    REACH Academy’s Mission is to meet the unique educational, social, physical, and emotional needs of our diverse student population in a safe and nurturing environment to encourage students to develop an enthusiasm for lifelong learning and a desire to pursue college and career opportunities.

     

    REACH Academy Vision Statement

    REACH Academy's Vision is a student centered second chance at success. We do this by having caring staff that build connections and relationships with students, while providing alternative methods of teaching, assessment and learning. The school offers a rigorous and relevant curriculum, strategies of prevention and intervention for at-risk behavior, and extended learning opportunities, all in a safe and healthy environment. With this approach, in collaboration with our community partners, we are able to meet the unique educational, social, physical and emotional needs of the diverse students we serve.

     

    School Counseling Mission Statement

    The mission of the REACH Academy School Counseling Program is to support all students in overcoming barriers and reaching their post-secondary goals. The school counselor collaborates with various stakeholders throughout the community to provide and advocate towards academic, socioemotional, college and career readiness. Aligned with National and California State standards, the school counseling program follows a Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Multi-Tiered, Multi-Domain System of Supports (MTMDSS) approach to best provide equity and access for all student needs. As a result, the school counseling program aids in the student's development of enthusiasm for lifelong learning and desire to pursue college and career opportunities.

    All students who graduate from REACH Academy will have developed a tool kit that will aid in their journeys towards achieving their full potential and post-secondary goals. These individuals will have overcome their personal barriers and become contributing members of society.
