• My name is Barbara Pearson and I teach English Language Arts (grades 7-8) and APEX (grades 9-12) at REACH Academy.  I grew up in Santa Ana, attending John Adams Elementary, Carr Intermediate and Valley High School.  I began my career at SAUSD in 1991 and have held a variety of roles, including teaching all grade levels TK-8, APEX, AVID and Certificated Learning and Academic Specialist.  I earned a Bachelor of Science at California State University, Long Beach, where I also obtained my teaching credentials.  I hold a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from California State University, Fullerton (CSUF).
