Hello!  My name is Laura Garcia and I teach 3^rd grade here at Edison Elementary Academy.  I was born and raised in North Hollywood, California  I received my Bachelors degree from the University of California, Irvine and my Masters degree from National University.  I have been teaching here at Edison Elementary Academy

for over 20 years and have taught everything from 1st grade to 3rd grade in my time here! 

      On a personal note, I love cooking,baking, and spending time with my wonderful family and friends, and watching movies.  I am married and spend all my free time with my husband (who is also a teacher in Santa Ana) and two beautiful daughters.

     I believe learning should be fun, but the work in my classroom is no joke.  I expect a lot from my students because they all have the ability to succeed.  Welcome to my classroom and get ready  for a great year!
