Ms. Amy Argo

Hello students, families, staff, and friends of Carl Harvey Elementary School! I am Ms. Argo, the school counselor. I received my Associate of Science degree from Irvine Valley College in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services at Cal State Fullerton. After completing my undergraduate studies, I earned my Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling with an Emphasis in School and Family Based Counseling, and my Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential from University of La Verne. 

My role as school counselor includes providing interventions at the school-wide, small group, and individual levels. I implement guidance lessons on various topics including: conflict resolution, study skills, anti-bullying, and stress management.  I also counsel small groups that meet weekly for 4-6 weeks for a variety of reasons including: grief/loss, friendship/drama, and academic organization. My role also includes one-on-one counseling sessions and check-ins based on referrals (see the Forms tab to refer your student). 

When I'm not at school you will find me at the beach, at a dance studio taking a tap class, or spending time with friends and family. I am so honored to serve the students and families at Carl Harvey and wish you all the best this school year!
