    Congratulations to the 24 winners of the Spernak Parents Foundation Awards. In a packed room of anxious scholars, Steve Spernak (Jefferson Elementary Class of 1966) and his brother, James, (Class of 1971), delivered the 13th edition of the foundation awards and scholarship money that honors their parents, Steve and Delphine Spernak.   • Summer Work Permits for Students

    Beginning July 1 through July 31, 2016, Summer work permit applications will be available at our PSS (Pupil Support Services) office, located at 1629 S. Center St., Santa Ana, CA 92704. The PSS office will be open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Click headline above to learn more.

  • Santa Ana Unified School District Band Instructor Nominated for National LifeChanger of the Year Award

    Victor de los Santos has been nominated for the 2016-2017 national LifeChanger of the Year award. In addition to impacting the more than 200 students in the band program, Santos indirectly has a positive effect on students’ families, other teachers and community members. Santa Ana High School staff say that he is a caring and nurturing band director who is willing to spend countless hours at school preparing for lessons, organizing events and counseling students – not just in music, but in life. As a result of his dedication and extreme altruism, he has made a beneficial difference in the lives he has touched.

  • Record-Breaking Number of Graduating Seniors Receive Certificate Certifying they are Fluent in Multiple Languages in SAUSD

    Santa Ana Unified School District celebrates a record-breaking number of graduates receiving their Seal of Biliteracy. This year, 1, 013 students will be recognized for being fluent in at least one or more languages and English, an increase of 124 students from last year.
