Dear Garfield Families,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. As we embark on the new school year, the knowledgeable and devoted Garfield staff and teachers are more determined than ever to make this year a success! Thank you to our families for your continued patience as we all navigate through what the upcoming year holds for us.
The Garfield teachers are working tirelessly to create engaging and rigorous learning environments that are welcoming to all our students. They are excited to see their new students and experience a great year together. Understanding that success comes from working as a team. Being actively involved in your child’s education is essential in developing a strong partnership for each student’s success. Please be sure you take time every day to connect with your child. Talk to your child about what they are doing in school, have them read to you, provide a quiet place to do homework, and help them stay organized. Showing your child you care demonstrates to them how important education is.
Communication between home and school is valued and extremely important in this environment. Please check Parent Square regularly and follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and X to stay connected.
At Garfield, we understand that every child is unique. Our mission is to meet each student’s needs and prepare them to be productive citizens of this world, both academically and emotionally. Garfield has an open-door policy, so please contact your child’s teacher or me at any time. We are all here to support you and your child in pursuing excellence. Compassion and care are more important than ever! Garfield Gators will be safe, respectful, and responsible every day! #GarfieldStrong #GarfieldProud #WeAreSausd
